HowTo - Batch Image Resize in command line

Suppose you want resize every your photos to put it on web. As you know, you can’t upload your photos on a web page with the highest resolution because a web gallery became inaccessible and too slow to load.

Copy all images you want to resize and run following command inside directory.....

$ mogrify -resize 1500 *.JPG

and all image files are resized to 1500 of width.

If command is not found, you need to install imagemagick. In Ubuntu this is very easy:

$ sudo apt-get install imagemagick
